Brett Cohen founded JGB Management in 2005. He has over 20 years of investment management experience with convertibles (private and public), direct lending, event-driven, and distressed investing. Prior to founding JGB, Brett was a Portfolio Manager at Elliott Associates. He earned his J.D. from Yale Law School and B.A. from Columbia University.
Corey is a partner in the Private Funds Group. He primarily focuses his practice on representing buyers and sellers, as well as private fund sponsors, in connection with complex secondary transactions, including traditional sales and purchases of fund interests as well as GP-Led transactions, including but not limited to, single asset spin-out arrangements, fund recapitalizations, preferred financings and “stapled” secondary transactions.
Wick Egan is the Director of Business Development and Operations at Egan-Jones Ratings, the leading NRSRO provider of private debt ratings. In this role, Wick focuses on the strategic direction of the firm’s client relationships and internal operations. Wick has been with the firm since 2021.
Before starting his current role at Egan-Jones Ratings, Wick worked on the ratings team at Egan-Jones and as a consultant for OC&C Strategy Consultants. Wick holds a Bachelor of Science from MIT.

David has 20 years of Big Four and top-tier firm experience, advising both public and private companies, as well as
international companies in various industries. As the New York Metro Professional Services Industry practice leader, the majority of David’s clients are in the professional services industry, however, he also works with clients in the retail and consumer products, beauty and cosmetics, and manufacturing industries. He helps clients streamline their operations, reduce expenses, and achieve their financial objectives.
David has been involved with consulting and advising companies on financial reporting, internal controls, and other
compliance matters, as well as improving operational efficiencies and profitability. In addition, he has experience with insolvency and bankruptcy, turnarounds, and financial management.
He is fluent in Russian and conversational in Georgian.
Matt is the Practice Group Leader of DLA Piper’s U.S. Finance Group and has spent more than two decades representing private credit funds in structuring and negotiating a wide range of debt, equity and hybrid debt/equity investments. Matt is recognized as an industry leader by Chambers USA and The Legal 500 and is co-founder of the Legal Mentor Network, the first non-profit dedicated to mentoring young lawyers and law students.

Joseph joined Configure Partners from the Middle Market Special Situations practice at Guggenheim Securities, where he was a Vice President. Prior to joining Guggenheim, he was part of the Global Finance and Restructuring Group at Barclays Capital in New York. Joseph has focused his career on providing advisory services to middle market companies as it relates to financings, mergers and acquisitions, and restructurings. Joseph graduated with a B.S. in Construction Science and Management from Clemson University and with an MBA from the University of North Carolina Kenan-Flagler Business School. He is a FINRA General Securities Representative (Series 24, 63, 79), and holds the Certified Insolvency and Restructuring Advisor (CIRA) and the Certification in Distressed Business Valuation (CDBV) designations. Joseph was recognized by the M&A Advisor as a recipient of the 2017 Emerging Leaders Award.
